In the Executive Meeting of Taleigao Chess Academy Sports Club held at Dynasty Manor, Odlembhat, Taleigao Goa on March 16, 2008 at 10.00am Programme for Financial year 2008/2009 were discussed and finalised.
1. Basic Chess Course for Govt. Primary School Teachers in the month of April to be concluded with a Chess Tournament within participant teachers and issue of participation certificate.
2. Scholarship Scheme for children the age group below 12.
Rs. 1000/- per month. for a year. (October to September)
Funding of the Scholarship scheme is to be done through donation from Religious Institutions, Corporate Houses, well-wisher etc. as also 3% of Taleigao Chess Academies total receipts will be transferred to this Scholarship fund.
President Shri Manish Kamble has donated Rs.3000/- and Treasurer Shri Ganesh Manerkar has also put in Rs.1000/- in the Scholarship fund at this very occasion.
Scheme will start from Oct 1, 2008.
Criteria for selection will be Child should stand in First 10 in any All Goa Chess Tournament organised by Taleigao Chess Academy. Application will be accepted from the deserving child upto first Saturday of October.
On the basis of Fund in hand on Sep 30 every year Executive Committee Members and Special Invitee members will select the children on first Sunday of October every year.
3. It has also been decided not to organise any Age Group Selection Chess Tournament for Goa State Chess Association unless a written request comes from them to hold such tournament at least two months in advance.
4. Other projects in association with NGO’s to be organised throughout the year were also discussed in the meeting.
5. CEO of Taleigao Chess Academy Shrikant Barve speech on “Vision of TCA for Goa for next five years” to be delivered on “Holichess” on March 22, 2008 at SAG Campal was finalised.
6. It was also been decided to invite President’s of nearby chess activity centre’s/club’s, SAG Chess coach at Campal, Panaji for executive committee meeting. Invitees to be paid Rs.100/- as honorarium.
All the Executive members were present for the meeting.
